Provisional DIY

Provisional DIY is a body of work originally developed by Suzy Adderley for her MA Textiles at Goldsmiths College, University of London and performed at the Elephant and Castle shopping center as well as at Goldsmiths and in a domestic environment. Subsequently, versions were made at the Exchange Gallery, Oxford, the Kingsgate Gallery, London and at Area 10 project space at the former Whitten’s Timber Yard in Peckham. Materials from the DIY store were built into improvised structures using coloured tape. At the end of the performance/installation the structures were dismantled and the structural materials reused at the next venue.
